Why Choose AberGP for Your Blood Tests?
Getting a blood test shouldn't be stressful or filled with guesswork. At AberGP, we pair advanced laboratory diagnostics with true medical oversight.
We don't just hand you a page of confusing numbers; every test comes with a comprehensive clinical report delivered securely through your online Halaxy portal, complete with a personalised GP interpretation of your results.
- Fast Turnaround: Most results are processed, reviewed, and returned to your portal within 4 to 5 days.
- Clinical Insight Included: Your report uses colour-coded visual scales and clear explanations so you know exactly where your health stands.
- Cost-Effective Panel Options: If you require multiple tests, we can often group them into one of our many diagnostic panels to provide a more cost-effective rate than ordering them individually.
Consult with our GP First
We strongly encourage patients to book an initial appointment with an AberGP doctor. This allows us to discuss your symptoms, lifestyle, and history in detail, ensuring the
right blood tests are ordered the first time. We can frequently draw your blood during this same consultation if appropriate.
Have a specialist recommendation? If a hospital consultant or another medical professional has requested specific testing, we are happy to conduct the blood draw. Contact us first with a copy of their written clinical recommendation or referral letter -
gp@abergp.co.ukState-of-the-Art Laboratory Processing
We partner with Randox Health and The Doctors Laboratory to provide world-class testing infrastructure for all our patients. Your samples are analysed in highly accredited, fully automated laboratories using the latest advancements in medical diagnostics. This high-tier clinical processing ensures immaculate accuracy across over 150 individual biomarkers and allows us to deliver your comprehensive results swiftly and securely.
Secure Report & GP Interpretation
Once the lab completes your analysis, a detailed visual report is uploaded directly to your Halaxy portal. Our GPs review every marker, adding expert interpretations so you understand exactly what the data means for your day-to-day wellness.
If your report highlights complex areas or you simply prefer a face-to-face breakdown, you are always welcome to book a follow-up consultation to go through the findings in depth.
Important Patient Preparation Information
To ensure your results are highly accurate, certain tests require strict clinical conditions:
- Fasting Tests: If you are having metabolic profiles such as Glucose or Insulin, you will need to fast (no food or drink except plain water) from 10pm the night before the blood test.
- Morning-Only Blood Tests: Hormones like Cortisol and Testosterone fluctuate dramatically throughout the day. To ensure an accurate baseline, these blood draws must be scheduled early in the morning - as close to 9am as possible.
Transparent Pricing & Fees
At AberGP, we believe in clear, upfront pricing with no hidden laboratory fees. To give you the most accurate results and the best value, our testing costs are straightforward and completely transparent.
Your total laboratory cost is simply calculated as:
The Standard Phlebotomy Fee (£30) + The Specific Test Fees
- £30 Standard Fee: Covers your professional blood draw, clinical logistics, processing, GP reporting and your comprehensive visual health report.
- Specific Test Fee: Paid in addition to the standard fee, depending strictly on the individual biomarkers or testing panels you choose.
Get Better Value with Panels: If you need multiple markers checked, we can often group them into a single blood test panel. This allows us to use our laboratory network more efficiently, providing you with the same deep insights at a much more cost-effective price than ordering tests individually.
Individual Tests Available
While we offer hundreds of tests and highly cost-effective multi-test panels, below is a list of individual tests commonly requested by our patients and specialists:
Note: This represents only a portion of our laboratory capabilities. If a specific specialist marker or custom analysis you require is not listed above, please contact our team directly to see whether we can offer the test from one of our partner laboratories.
